Google Adsense Profits Mixed In With Affiliate Marketing

If you are a webmaster who needs financial to keep your website running or if your website is your bread and butter and you need cash, affiliate marketing might just be what you’re looking for. Affiliate marketing brings a lot of funds flowing into your bank account. Moreover, if your website offers excellent content, you might also want to try Google Adsense, too.

To put it simply, affiliate marketing is an agreement between websites. One website is the merchant’s and the other, the affiliate’s. In this agreement, the affiliate allows the merchant to promote and market his products on the affiliate’s site. They would then agree on how the merchant will pay the affiliate for it. This is beneficial for both parties because the affiliate will earn from doing nothing but placing the merchant’s ad on his site while the merchant gets to promote his products for a cheaper cost.

There are lots of ways the merchant can pay the affiliate for his usefulness. This means earning easy cash for the webmaster. Some of the common ways to earn on this are the pay-per-click, pay-per-lead, and the pay-per-sale methods. Affiliates prefer the pay-per-click method over the two others because with this method, the visitor will only have to click on the advertiser’s site for them to gain money. The merchant’s, on the other hand, prefer the other two methods because they will only have to pay once the visitors but from them.

You should not rely, however, on the method you will use because it does not guarantee more visitors because it only means greater chances of making sales.

What does Google Adsense have to do with affiliate marketing?

Google Adsense is some kind of affiliate marketing program. With this program, Google serves as the middleman between merchants and affiliates. The merchants will have to sign up with Google and supply Google with their text ads about their products. These ads will then appear on Google searches, on the affiliate’s sites, and on the webmaster’s sites.

But even though Google Adsense and other affiliate marketing programs seem to have a lot of similarities, they also differ in so many ways. All the webmaster has to do, in Google Adsense, is to place a code on his site and Google will take care of everything else. Generally, Google will only place relevant links you our site. This works well for you and the advertiser because those who will visit your site will be those who are interested with whatever it is you’re advertising.

Pay-per-click method is the basis of Google Adsense’s compensation to the affiliates. The advertisers pay Google an amount everytime someone clicks an ad on your site. Google would then deduct their share from the amount and forward the rest of the amount to you. Checks are sent monthly. And to assure you of transparency, Google provides a tracking tool that lets you monitor your earnings from the ads.

How then is this relevant to all of us?

This generally leads us to acquiring more profits. Both affiliate marketing and Google Adsense programs work for you, whether you are a merchant or an affiliate. The merchants get to save costs with affiliate marketing. Webmasters easily gain income by creating websites. And if you combine your profits from both Google Adsense and affiliate marketing, you will surely come up with large amounts of profits.
