Promoting Backend Products for Increased Sales

Before trying to promote your backend products, you must first have a definite idea of what a backend product really is. A backend product is the commodity or service related to the front-end item offered to the customers.

The concept here is that it is easier to make secondary sales to the customers whom you already made business with. Successful business owners have seen this and used it to their advantage. Those who do not use backend marketing miss out on the opportunity to earn more than what they get from just selling their main products.

One good way of catching your customers’ attention is by including a not-so-obvious ad on the thank you note you give them after the purchase. Mention your backend product along with the purchase of the main product and give them discounts for it. This will surely entice them to avail of the backend product.

You can also give them freebies when they purchase from you. Or offer regular customers rebates and special packages for the purchase of your backend products. Or you can cut off the price of your new items just for your loyal customers and offer it to them before introducing it to the market. This is going to make them feel that their loyalty is given importance and thus, you build strong business relationship with them. Moreover, send out another thank you note after the purchase of each backend product. Make your customers feel that their purchase is appreciated. This is going to show business etiquette, too.

Set up a portion of your site just for product updates. This is an ideal place for the promotion of your backend offers. Even when customers want to withdraw their subscription, you still can attract them to buy. Include a small ad in the withdrawal from and try to offer them something else, something better. This is backend marketing, too.

All of the abovementioned tactics do not require too much effort from you, yet will surely generate you more profit than you can by just selling front-end goods. Do not miss out on this because it will make you miss out on profits, too.
